its under the center console between the seats
I think what you are looking at is a distributorless ignition system. All engine controls are routed through the ecm, or engine control module and timing is changed automatically as needed for emmissions and performance.
The engine computer on 1991 Isuzu Troopers is mounted on top of the transmission hump, under the center console in the cab of the vehicle. If you have the 4L30E transmission then the transmission computer is mounted next to the driver side (Left) front speaker.

The guy at the local transmission repair shop told me it sits on top of the engine control module. You have to remove the console to get to it.
Assuming you mean crank position sensor, it tells the ignition control module the position of the crankshaft so the module can tell the correct coil to fire at the correct time.
If you are speaking of the PCM(Power Control Module) or ECM(Engine Control Module, it is located in the inside middle of the dash. There is also a ECM relay in the underhood fuse box.
