Because the guy that created them got the idea from barbies so he got sued and then they came out with mroe bratz dolls. :) That is totally incorrect. The "guy" that created Bratz dolls created them while working for Mattel. He presented the idea to the company but they weren't interested. He then went to work for MGA, bringing the concept with him. MGA produced the doll, but because the concept was created while the "guy" worked for Mattell they had ownership of it.
You could probably find a giant bratz at any kind of department store
