Go to your local book store i.e. Barnes and Noble and get a Haynes Manual for the vehicle. They will order it for you if not in stock. The book will be about 20 bucks. Incredible book, well worth the 20 bucks and gives info for complete tear down of the entire vehicle.
Right down by the oil filter.
There are torque specs for every nut and bolt on that vehicle. You need to narrow it down which one you want.
The differential drain plug is on the front right side (passenger) of the differential. There are two plugs, and upper and lower. The upper is for filling the lower for draining. If you do not have two plugs, the easiest way to drain the fluids is to loosen your differential cover and allow fluids to drain. That is also a good time to check your spider gears and differential for wear/tear. Replace the seal, tighten according to manufacturer specs, and then fill accordingly (top plug removed, fill fluid until you can put your pinky in the hole and feel fluid (point pinky down in hole)).
Remove the engien mounts and lower engine down a little to give room for access to top of bell housing.
Rear differential service is necessary to ensure that the lubricating fluid in the differential does not break down. Replacing the fluid can help prevent ware on the gears.
lift the handle on back of the seat
they are STILL making them with fold down windshields...
The screwdriver, the spanner and the pliers are some of the tools that are needed to strip down a rear-differential on a L200 4 work. The bolts simply need to be loosened.?æ
Disconnect terminal at th battery, then disconnect the wires at the starter, two bolts hold it on to the engine, both down facing and most likely torx, use the proper tork socket to remove the bolts and the starter will drop right down.
if it is a GT there are no specs just tightend down..hope this helps http://foxbodychallenge.com/node/20 <- here is a list of all torque specs for mustangs. hope that helps
