i haven't had any experience with automatic 3000gt's but i would suspect it is located on the valve body. you will need to remove the transmission oil pan to access this. i haven't had any experience with automatic 3000gt's but i would suspect it is located on the valve body. you will need to remove the transmission oil pan to access this.
Are you looking for the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid? If so, it is inside the side pan behind the driver side wheel on the three speed auto transmissions anyway.
On all auto trannies I have seen the pump is on the front of the trans, just after the torque converter.
The torque converter was not seated all the way into the transmission and the front pump got damaged in the process. The transmission front pump and torque converter will have to be replaced at the very least.
Yes you may.Make sure you have an auto tranny for the same car type.remove the cluthch cover and replace with a torque converter and an auto tranny.
Sounds like torque converter is going bad
If it is acting like you are revving up, the torque converter has failed.
Torque converter is shot - not serviceable - new gearbox required.
Auto clutch means a torque converter has two pedal drive and brake system so you have a brake pedal and accelerator that auto changes gears automatically. It makes it easier to drive.
Possibly the lock-up torque converter solenoid is sticking. Disconnect the wire to the lockup converter.
depends upon auto/manual, but suspect improper torque converter, or bad throw-out bearing installation.
the flywheel in an auto is called a flex plate yes it can be installed backwards, but it will cause problems the ring gear for the starter will not be at the correct distance for starter to engage. the torque converter for the transmission bolts onto the flex plate. the flexplate has balancing weights on it. these weights will be in the way of properly mounting the torque converter
it it most likely the torque converter this is the link between the engine and transmission if this is damaged the gears will not spin. hope this helps
