Generally speaking, there is no alien number (A number) in the Form I-20. F-1 students who have an EAD card for optional practical training (OPT) can usually find their 9-digit A number on the EAD card.
In order to get A# (alien registration number) for H4, you have to apply for adjustment status (filing I-485). You have to file I-140 form together with I-485 form. However, if someone has applied separately I-140 form, I-140 needs to be approved before filing I-485. This is the only way I know about getting alien number (A#) for H4 visa holders. Any other ways, or alternative answers will be more helpful for related persons.

Form I-102, available for download at www.uscis.gov, is used to replace an I94 (entry/exit document). An alien number is only issued to lawful permanent residents, those placed into removal proceedings, or those applying to become lawful permanent residents (immigrant visa applicants). Documents associated with any of these proceedings will contain the alien registration number, as will the alien registration card, Form I-551, which is only issued to lawful permanent residents. As with any important legal matter, a qualified immigration attorney should be consulted if there is any question as to the best way to protect yourself or explore your options when you have questions about dealing with the immigration service. I believe that is an immigration form. It may be the biographical information form if my memory serves me correctly. G-325A is indeed the Biographic form that is used in conjunction with a I-130 petition for a spouse as beneficiary. The form asks for specific information on both the beneficiary and the petitioner. G-325 is for everyone else but a spouse.
If you actually had a green card and you lost it, take your passport to the local Immigration office and fill out the form to replace it. They will put a temporary stamp in your passort while you wait for your new green card.
