Not sure about the GM cars, maybe 1968-1969. GM trucks came with disc brakes starting in 1971.
If you're going to change the front end over may as well use something a little newer with disc brakes like a 1968 - 1972 Chevrolet Nova or Camaro sub frame then splice it in to the stock 55 frame.
