You will need an after market Vortec Intake None FI 4BRL set up. The vortec engine has longer runners to increase air speed for the vorteciy action of the heads.
well it depends..usually if you have a 4brl carb the vacuum is built in the carb. the intake manifold is the main source of vacum. from the carb mounted on the manifold. if you have a 2brl and want to switch to a 4brl, you have to get a new manafold that is made for a 4brl carb..it might be worth your while to do this..it elimates all the hoses and clutter junk from a 2brl. if you have a 2brl, it can be a little complicated. the vac on a 2brl is threw the air cleaner unit. theres vacum hoses that conect to the rear of the carb. the EGR valve a round like cilinder on left side of intake manifold. the choke mounted on the side of carb, and the thermostat housing. ...good luck
The 91 did not have a carburetor. It was fuel injected / TBI Throttle Body Injection and it has 2 injectors that feed all 8 cylinders.
For a 305 with a 4brl carb. it would be about 145 hp. For a 305 tbi it produces 215hp from factory. No, a 305 TBI is rated at 185 HP stock.
No it would not This is not totally correct, you can drill out the water ports located on the front of the heads block surface just enough to put shallow freeze plugs in them. then drill out the intake surface side to allow water passage through the intake manifold. and last but not least, you will need to purchase an after market intake for a Bogus Boss if your 351 Cleveland heads are the 2brl variety or if your lucky enough to have 4brl heads just find real 302 boss parts to finish out the job. I have done this 2 times and it will make your 302 come alive.

I swear some people have no business giving answers. I am not referring to you specifically, but in general. I have corrected like 5 answers in the last 10 minutes.
6 cyl ------------------------> 4* btdc 8 cyl 2brl-------------------> 8* btdc 8 cyl 4brl -----------------> 12* btdc Straight out of my 71 pontiac factory service manual
I had a 69 fastback w/ a302. I put a holley 4brl 650 and was going with 351W heads.I was told a increase of 10hp from the 4brl. I never got the chance to put 351W heads on.So I dont know how hp from the heads.But I think if you could find 351 Clevland heads,you would be be alot better off.Thats what the BOSS 302 basically is.You would need to drill and tap for new oil passages,unfornately...BUT Iam pretty sure that would be it
