"Addiction" by it's very definition implies a negative consequence due to a behavior which is uncontrollable.
"Love Addiction" concerns negative consequences in regard to issues dealing with love and/or sex.
One major "issue" involved in this addiction is involvement with an individual that results in detrimental consequences. (There of course can be other consequences as well: getting into an abusive relationship and getting pregnant are but two more examples.)
Two consequences that may prove detrimental are catching the HIV virus (possibly leading to death via AIDS) or being murdered by an individual via a "love" or sexual tryst gone terribly wrong.
In any Love/Sex Addiction the results ultimately of the outcome are consistently the same: either "life" or "death".
"Rehab" is one option that an individual has in controlling or ending a Love Addiction. (The internet can give you names of the rehabilitation facilities that are specifically geared to those suffering from Love Addiction that are nearest to you in your area.)
One may be "pro rehab" if this therapeutic approach is the appropriate one to take for any given individual. This depends on the individual's background and/or the severity of one's addiction.
Other options include out patient services and a group based 12 Step Program specifically for those with a Love Addiction.
