You can't actually find a place to play the old versions of minecraft but there is a type of mod that is a launcher and it will get the old minecraft versions for you. But other than that, the only way you can play Minecraft Alpha is to get the jar(most likely from the internet unless you have it saved somwhere) and replace it with your current one.
