well cough drops, WARM drinks or cool water. do not use drinks not 100% real. gargle salt water. this part may sound gross, but warm water with lemon juice and honey really helps. just stay on the warm side for drinks but water is something you can have with yiur warm drink. also, you can take tylinal (not good speller) it helps the pain. you can eat smooth things like ice cream and stuff. make sure you wash your hands and check your temp. thanks! get well soon

Avoid milk products, like ice cream, because they make you produce more mucus which will add to the cough and the problem. Something cold may feel good on your irritated throat, though, so you could try a Popsicle. One of the cheapest and best ways to help is to gargle some warm salted water. Put no more than a teaspoon in a glass of warm water (not hot) and gargle with it several times a day.
