Where can you put the power cable from the battery to an amplifier in a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero so that it runs from the battery to the inside of the car?

Well I've only done this a few times but there are really several ways to do this. the easy way: You can run the wire straight along the front fender down in the door next to the windshield and into the dash. From there you pull up gently on the kick boards on the bottom of the door. Usually you don't have to take it all the way off but take the screws out so you don't crack it. Run it to the back seat and hide it behind the carpet on the side wall until it comes out in the trunk by the seat where it folds. This is the hilbilly way you can see the wire if the hood or the door is open. A better but more difficult way is to find a spot on your firewall where existing wires run between the engine and the fuse panel inside the car. As far as doing a good job going back to the trunk I would recommend hiding the wire under the plastic pieces that hide your existing stereo wires (speaker wire ect.) the less of that carpet stuff you move the less you will have to glue down. you can get more creative. One of my friends has the wires completely hidden. what he did was ran the wires underneath the car and drilled up through the trunk and speaker boxes connecting the wires on the inside of the box. The only wires you see is two short nubs comming out of the floor and into the amp. hope this helps good luck.
