Tripitaka are the various canons of Buddhist scripture.
The tipitaka does not have a special stand. But is treated with los of respect by buddists.
The Tripitaka was originally written in a ancient Indian language called Pali which is very close to the language spoke by Buddha himself. The Tripitaka is a very large book and in English translation it takes up nearly forty volumes. :PThis is written in Pali or Sanskrit.
I don't know if one location claims to have the oldest version of the Tripitaka, also know as the Pali canon, but many Buddhist have a copy of it. You can buy copies online.
The Buddhist holy book, the Tripitaka (also known as the Pali Canon), was originally written in Pali, an ancient Indian language. The Tripitaka contains the teachings of Buddha and is considered one of the earliest and most authoritative sources for Buddhist teachings.
The Vinaya Piṭaka is a Buddhist scripture, one of the three parts that make up the Tripitaka. See link below
The Buddhist book with the name that means "the way of teaching" is Tripitaka. It is written in Pali which is am ancient Indian tradition.
Tripitaka is a term referring to the traditional group of Buddhist scriptures recognized by Mahayana and Theravada branches. It is also known as the Tipitaka in Pali. The Tripitaka consists of three "baskets" or collections: the Vinaya Pitaka (disciplinary rules for monastic life), the Sutta Pitaka (discourses of the Buddha), and the Abhidhamma Pitaka (philosophical and psychological analysis).
The Tripiṭaka (Sanskrit त्रिपिटक, lit. three baskets), Tipiṭaka (Pāli) is the formal term for a Buddhist canon of scriptures. Many different versions of the canon have existed throughout the Buddhist world, containing an enormous variety of texts. The oldest and most widely-known version is the Pāli Canon of the Theravāda school. for full text, see Wikipedia; Tripitaka on left
The Tripitaka is treated with alot of respect and care as Buddhist people think it incudes all infomation and views to last a life time. They also think that God's word are in the text. The Tripitake is not allowed to touch any dirty surface in any way shape or form. It is not allowed to enter the bathrrom as the germs. Buddhist people also treat the Tripitaka with hate and despite as the man who wrote it was pure evil and was the hated person.
First off, Buddhists do not worship anything or anyone. We revere the Buddha and his teachings, but he is not a God. With that said, the Tripitaka (three baskets) is a set of books that contains the Buddha's teachings. It is comprised of the Sutras, sermons and teachings of Buddha; Abhidharma, discourses on interpretation of the doctrine; and Vinay, rules for monks and nuns in monastic life. So the Tripitaka defines what Buddhism is and how we are to live our lives.
Non-Buddhists view it as the 'bible' or book of Buddhism. It is a collection of writings on the philosophy and views of Buddhism without the connotation of being divinely inspire/. Originally written in Pali and Sanskrit it is available in many languages in translation.
