no where. if you want it to walk around the house, buy it an exercise ball, one that is big enough, and clean the floor, so it wont eat stuff off the ground. or then it will die.
I wouldn't say yes because you could lose him/her on the leash. i say you can get him/her a leash, but beware, he/she mite not like it! Signs your hamster doesn't want a leash: -eating leash -acting odd -not moving when leash is on -not eating/drinking but, it's your choice if you want to buy him/her a leash. leash tips: -don't drag hamster -buy a good sturdy leash -keep your eyes on him/her at all times
Yes. Not out side.
Put a leash on it and walk it there.
Making a hamster leash yourself can harm the hamster if it isn't made properly. It can't be a collar leash like a dog but a cloth that wraps the hamster. Hamsters usually hate leashes as it bothers them and often hurts them. You can buy a leash at a local pet store - but I highly don't recommend it.
Yes, it is possible to put them on a leash but not recommended.
Some would definitely say, yes. Hamsters are small creatures who don't need to be 'walked' with a leash or lead. However, if you do plan on walking your hamster, a leash that fits might be a good idea so he doesn't run away. Which could be even more cruel, since hamsters aren't very equipped to survive the wild of the streets.
I've tried that when my children had hamsters, and found that almost any hamster can wriggle out of almost any lead, so there's really not much point.
yes there is. it can be bought at some pet stores as well as online. but i would not recommend it as it is useless and may cause harm to your hamsters. By Estherbella I have never seen a hamster leash before, but you can use a ferret leash. They are the right size. When walking your hamster, I would not recommend walking it on blacktop, concrete, or any similar surface. These surfaces can hurt your hamster's little feet. I would recommend walking it on grass or sand instead. Make sure you aren't gone for over 15-25 min. Keeping a hamster away from a water source for longer than that can cause dehydration.
No, but it does need to be confined. You cannot let it just run about the house, or it will get away. Getting a hamster out of the couch is no easy task. A good thing to invest in is a hamster ball. It can run freely across the floor, but not scoot into any small spaces.
The nicest hamster you could buy is a syrian and a teddy bear hamster they dont bite as much as other hamster do
no your hamster can get sick
