Judaism is not a missionary religion, so it didn't spread by conversion. Though people can convert to Judaism, converts are not sought and most people don't do it because anti semitism tends to explode every few decades and you don't want to be caught Jewish when that happens. So in terms of physica…l growth of the Judaism, it generally happened through having babies. If you're asking how Jewish ideas and influence spread, the answer would be exile. Jews were exiled from Israel first in 597BCE and then again in 70CE. From there, they were spread out to the whole world, and so were their ideas. ( Full Answer )

Other answers from our community: Jews don't actively proselytize. They themselves, however, havemoved to various countries because of exile and persecutions. Answer 2 Long story short: Jewish beliefs did not spread; Jews spread. The reason that Jews were present in many diverse countries asop…posed religions of similar size (such as Jainism and Sikhism)which are regional is that Jews were expelled from their homelandduring the time of the Roman Empire and forced to settle elsewherein that domain. Since the Roman Empire became many differentcountries, Jews ended up in various regions. Complicating the issuewas that Jews were periodically expelled from countries at variouspoints in the last 2000 years which resulted in the "Wandering Jew"stereotype since the Jew did not stay in any one region for a verylong period of time. Jews did not and continue to not evangelize. (There are some Jewishcommunities who assist converts, but they do not seek them.) Judaism was first dominant in Biblical Israel. With the BabylonianExile, it spread elsewhere in the Middle East. The Roman Exile ledto Jews dispersing throughout southern Europe and North Africa.Jews eventually spread to Eastern Europe, India, the Americas, andAustralia. Salmonella is spread by eating contaminated food and coming intocontact with animal feces. Salmonella lives in the intestines ofhumans and animals.
It spread throughout Europe, and was adopted by Rome. AL though Roman Mythology differed slightly from Greek Mythology, it was still based on it.
No, spreaded is not a word. The verb, to spread , is both present tense and past tense. Examples: First, you spread the flour on the board so that the dough won't stick. We spread the fertilizer weeks ago so it would be mixed with the soil when we plowed.
because the molecules of a gas are more spread out than a solid or liquid
The Christ came to offer us salvation. The Buddha came to help end our suffering. Beyond the theological differences (Buddhism rejects a one true God, heaven, hell, etc.), morally they are incredibly similar, if not almost the same.
Dietary requirements are dealt with in the Old Testament (see Exodus, for example) and are generally based on rules of hygiene and general cleanliness, essential concepts for man when you're trying to lead a lot of reluctant people through a desert without losing too many to gastric afflictions, but… not too much of a bother for God. All you can do, really, is innocently climb a mountain and stagger back under the weight of rocks carved with commands from your God, whom even the most stubborn ignores at their peril because other people tend to kill you for doing so.. These requirements were maintained by the Hebrews and still form part of the Jewish diet, observed rigidly by Orthodox Jews and perhaps a little more casually by Jews who are observant but not strictly so. (See Kosher food).. Islamic food requirements are coincidentally not dissimilar to Jewish, except in the matter of alcohol and in a few other areas: both dietary regimes originated in similar manner.. Christians, having learned about food in cooler, greener lands with marginally better hygiene and a good variety of foods, generally ate whatever they liked, and continue to do so. Dietary restrictions in the Christian world tend to revolve around cultural practices, climate, and food availability.. _______________________. For centuries, Christians in cool climates have believed they must observe class distinctions when it comes to food and drink, but that isn't a religious requirement.. I believe that while Christians may eat anything, they are urged not to eat something if doing so will give offense to weaker or less knowledgeable Christians.. _______________________ ( Full Answer )

\nBack in the day (specifically the 1400's) a pilgrimage meant that one or a group of people were going to visit a certain holy site (or many holy sites) to pray and be closer to God. Because Christianity is based on a personal and spiritual relationship with Jesus and God ("Where two or more gathe…r in Jesus's name, so shall there be a church"), the place in which one prayed wasn't as important to Christians as it was to Jews or Muslims. As a result, pilgrimage holds little significance to the Christian faith. ( Full Answer )

A christian goes to church to learn, love, and honor God and Jesus. Also to meet with other believers. Sometimes people who don't know God very well go for salvation and get saved.
The main belief a christian has is God sent Jesus to save us and he did. All you need to do is confess he is your lord and savior and you shall not perish but have eternal life.
You are confused , Sunday is not the day of worship for Jesus christ , our lord , our saviour i myself have just came to know the Sunday-worship , break it down , sun , a pagan worshiped 'idol' if you may is not the day of Jesus christ/worship , its in the name , sun-day , Saturday morning till Satu…rday noon , is the day you should rest and worship christ , if one day a law is enforced for you Forcibaly to worship the roman catholic church remember what i have said in which , the roman catholics are the biggest lie ever to be concieved and that , yes , that is the devil , satans plan , to decieve the whole world to worship him, and pray to Jesus that you can be saved , if you however denie christ and worship this roman catcholic 'forced' Sunday , you will be marked with the number of the beast , and may not enter heaven, if however you stand up for the real sabbath gods-law , not mans-law and die , you will not die in vain brother , look unto the signs of the holy bible, and decide , its hard to explain but to put it short , if one day on the news you see a new law decreed , that forces everybody to worship Satan in disguise 'Wolves in sheeps clothing' on Sunday , remember what i have said and repent , save everybody you can , let them accept Jesus , read the bible and look at the signs GOD himself said will happen , that HAVE happend , not the 2012 crap that's all another deciept, basically the last sign is that you have a choice to believe in Jesus by disobaying mans-law , and be punished for it , or disobay gods law and be punished eternally for it. The spread is the difference between the "buy" and the "sell" prices of a particular spread betting market (such as equities, indices, currencies and even sports!) For example spread betting company Spreadex may offer a "spread" of 5000-5002 on the UK 100 Daily (aka FTSE 100). You could buy at 5002… if you believe it will go above this level, or you can sell at 5000 if you think it will go below. The spread is effectively how the spread betting company makes its profits. The spread will get wider if you bet on futures or utilise guaranteed stop losses. If you need any more help on the terminology used in spread betting see this glossary of terms provided by Spreadex. http://www.spreadex.com/betting/Financial/financial_spread_betting_glossary.aspx ( Full Answer )

Caesar Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus Augustus, commonly known as simply Constantine was an emperor of the Roman Empire from 306 to 337 AD. His importance to Christianity is that he unified the various sects and made Roman Catholicism the official state religion in ancient Rome. The Nicene …Creed, a mission statement of Catholic beliefs, is the result of the council he called, in 325, where the official beliefs of Roman Catholics was agreed upon. The Eastern Orthodox Christians consider Constantine a saint. ( Full Answer )

Hinduism isn't normally by it's nature actively spread. Most Hindus are born into their system of beliefs. However, there are one or two exceptions such as the Hare Krishna movement (who at least have most of the same beliefs as mainstream Hindus) who actively proselytise on the streets of most West…ern cities. Also some aspects of Hinduism such as Yoga and Transcendental Meditation are taught widely in the Western world. So Hinduism is spread via the newly born being brought up as Hindus and some aspects of it by proselytising. ( Full Answer )
The Christian religion gives everyone the chance to have life in relationship with God. Over two billion people are now Christians, which is more than twice as many as any other religion. Over the centuries the religion has had an immense and varied impact on the world depending on whether the peop…le are true followers of Christ or people who have used the name of the religion for their own purposes. Christianity has inspired great art and architecture and has led people to great good works and self-sacrifice. It has also been used by people to enforce their authority and to 'justify' their own evil. It has brought peace and it has brought war, it has brought enlightenment and at times it has kept people in ignorance. It has brought truth and it has denied truth. The only important and real impact of the Christian religion is the impact it has on the lives of true believers. When Christ comes into your life he sets you free from slavery to sin and brings you true peace, joy and love. He gives you a new life where all the past is forgiven and you can start again with him as your guide ( Full Answer )

The emperor Constantine was the first Christian emperor of Rome, or at least that's what most people believe. Constantine never converted to Christianity during his reign, but it is alleged that he had a "death bed conversion" by his friend Eusebius, who as a bishop of the church, and had an agenda …to promote Christianity. All Constantine actually did was to make Christianity a legal religion. It wasn't until Theodosius I, in 380 AD, that Christianity became the official religion of the empire. ( Full Answer )

I think it is because christians believe that when Christ was crucified, he was paying for all of our sins so that we would not have to suffer for them. It is important to christians because it was the day Christ sacrificed himself for something he didn't do because he loved us. But I could be wrong…. You should probably ask a true christian. Jesus here not so much compares Christians with the light, as says …plainly, "Ye are the light - " And this commandment compares with another Scripture where God likens the light in Christians to the original light that he created _ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. This can only happen when this will be believed by christians PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) IN THE BIBLE by Dr. Zakir Naik Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the Old Testament: The Qur'an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157: "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet,… whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel". 1. MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY: Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18: "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet. If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets. However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses (pbuh): i) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously without any male intervention. [Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47] ii) Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not marry nor had children. iii) Both died natural deaths. Jesus (pbuh) has been raised up alive. (4:157-158) Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh). Words in the mouth: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim. "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." [Deuteronomy 18:18] iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment. Jesus (pbuh) said, "My kingdom is not of this world." (John 18:36). v) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime but Jesus (pbuh) was rejected by his people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his own, but his own received him not." iv) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not bring any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18). 2. It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him." 3. Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah: It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12: "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned." When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned". 4. prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned by name in the old testament: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16: "Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem." "His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem." In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament: Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6: "And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' " All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians. 1. John chapter 14 verse 16: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever." 2. Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." 3. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7: "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you". "Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter. Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures. Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). 4. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me". ( Full Answer )

The other is that you mean helped Christianity to grow (you do not\nclarify what is meant to glow or grow). \n\n \n\n The\npersecutions helped Christianity to grow. It gave the Christians a greate…r\nsense of having a mission and of having to fight for their religion. Many\nsaints were martyrs who died for the Christian cause. It is likely that it also\npromoted conversions as the struggles of the Christians may have made Christianity\nas something even more worthwhile for the people who were disaffected and felt\noppressed by the political and economic situation of the masses in the empire.\nChristianity was particularly successful among the masses because it appealed\nto their needs. The concepts of brotherhood, sympathy for the poor, charity and\nsalvation resonated with the poor. \n\n \n\n The\nbiggest and last persecution of the Christians was the Great Persecution of\n303-311 AD. It caused great unrest as Christianity was already a major religion\nin the empire. It was ended by the edict of Toleration by (emperor) Galerius of\n311 AD. This was done because it was recognised that Christianity could not be\nsuppressed and to restore political stability. The toleration of Christianity\nwas reiterated by co-emperors Constantine I and Licinius in the Edict of Milan\nof 313 AD. The Christians were declared free to worship their god.
