In the den of his bunker under the Reichstag building in Berlin. The place where he chose to put a bullet through his head as the Red Army was almost literally knocking on his door. A whole mythology seems to have arisen around the old Reichstag. The bunker was under the Chancellery in the Wilhelmstrasse, which is also in the centre of Berlin.

Hitler started a war against the Soviet Union, his German armies nearly reched moscow. But the red army gained strength again and defeated the thrid Reich in an awful bloody battle. In 1945, the red army captured Berlin.

Since 1944, also the british and American armed forces fought in Europe against the third Reich. they reached Berlin after the soviet forces "freed" it.

Berlin. The allies came into Berlin. First, the Russians arrived, then the Americans, the English, and the French. Berlin was divided into two sectors. One Russian and the rest to the West. This is how East/West Berlin was created.

Hitler was stopped in Germany when he committed suicide. He chose to end his life rather than to face what either consequences the allies would of had for him. Adolf Hitler committed suicide on April 30th 1945 just a few days before the German surrender.

The "Battle of Britain" when the German Airforce "Luftwaffe was destroyed by the RAF. The second defeat came on the Russian front when the 5th Army was alienated.
