It went with him.

Christianity believes that he rose - body and soul - into heaven

In the King James version

# Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. # Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. # Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

It rose from the dead on the third day. He was seen and even handled and ate and drank. Over 500 witnesses. His body was glorified (spiritualized) and ascended to be in the presence of the Father on shavuot (pentacost) until His return after the rise of the Anti-Christ (false messiah of the coming global governance) when He is coming again to judge. All who's sins have been paid for with His blood shal go into His Kingdom and all who have rejected God and His word to the Lake of Fire (John 3:3-8; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:23)

A living, breathing body.

Another view:

According to I Corinthians 15 -- Jesus' dead resurrected body would have been changed... and unlike anything we might ordinarily imagine:

"...incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality...." (I Cor.15:52-53).

What is the nature of "immortality?" According to The Bible... it's something the human body "puts on." (???) What is that? It sounds like "putting on a piece of clothing" -- put on immortality.

Can anyone fathom this? Can the human mind conceive of being "impervious to death?"

How does a physical body live without blood? Jesus Christ shed all of his blood... and there wasn't any in his body [that was His sacrifice -- the shedding of His Divine Blood -- 'without shedding of blood is no remission': Heb.9:22]! His resurrected body was now immortal... eternally alive... incorruptible with no blood in it to "decompose" and "corrupt."

With no blood in the body to "circulate"... there is no function for "lungs" to inflate and deflate [breathe] to "massage the heart to pump blood."

The Bible tells us that He "ate" with His disciples after His resurrection... yet there was no functional purpose to eat "to live." And again... there was no blood in His body to carry the nutrients of digested food to any "functioning internal organs." How was the food assimilated? Was it "cosmetic?" Did He just enjoy the flavors of food... and then it just miraculously "disappeared" from within Him?

How do we fathom being alive in any way differently from how we have always been... needing to eat and breathe to live? How is "immortality put on?"

How do you suddenly appear and disappear... or "suddenly manifest yourself into a locked and closed chamber" without a "USS Enterprise molecular transporter?"

The finite human mind boggles trying to imagine what Jesus body was after His resurrection... not to mention how He is described today in Revelation 1:13-16.

"...Fear not; I am the First and the Last: I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." (Rev.1:17-18)

We have to wait for "our own change" before we can know.

For "...we shall be changed..." in a similar way. (I Cor.15:52)
