Leaving Bristol (England), the expedition sailed past Ireland and across the Atlantic making landfall somewhere on the coast of North America on June 24, 1497. The exact location of the landfall has long been a matter of great controversy, with different communities vying for the status of being the location of the landing. At various times historians have proposedBonavista, St. John's in Newfoundland, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Labrador, and Maine as possibilities. Cape Bonavista in Newfoundland, however, is the location recognised by the governments of Canada and the United Kingdom as being Cabot's "official" landing place. Cabot is only reported to have landed once during the expedition and did not advance "beyond the shooting distance of a crossbow".
What did john Cabot see? What was John Cabot most known for? Why is John Cabot important? Where did John Cabot get married? Where did John Cabot go to college? Where did John Cabot go to school? He Went to Canada and explored the Canadien coastline
John Cabot did go on the Atlantic ocean
He went on 2 voyages but it's unknown if he went on a third. And for all you people who are doing a project on him (like me) just say he went on two cause the third one was actually not a voyage it was a trip to visit a place that he passed but wanted to go back to on his first voyage.
