A Tesla coil is a type of resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891. It is used to produce high voltage which Tesla used to test a way to conduct wireless electricity. Something about Tesla was that his inventions were not an accident like most inventions. He visioned the inventions in his head and then make them work.

The Tesla coil experiments were done or conducted in the Colorado Springs laboratory. We could think that the first Tesla Coil was built there but the idea could be in his head way back from New York when he was working with George Wentishouse.
