Patrick was born and lived for 16 years in southern Britain (Wales or Scotland) and then was abducted and taken to Ireland for 6 years . After escaping he returned to Britain. he then studied theology in Europe for several years and was sent back to Britain and Ireland as a missionary. They made a holiday after him called st patricks day.
It is not certain where he came from. It is believed he came from some part of Britain. In Ireland he spent a lot of time on Slemish mountain in county Antrim when he was brought to Ireland as a slave. He escaped and left Ireland to study for the priesthood and eventually returned to Ireland. In establishing Christianity, he would have travelled around Ireland. He is believed to be buried in Downpatrick in county Down.
