In 1959, as the Quarry Men, they started playing at the Casbah Club in Liverpool which was run by Pete Best's mother. In 1960, as The Beatles, and with Pete Best as drummer, the played at the Indra Club in Hamburg for 48 nights, then at the Kaiserkeller for a further 58 nights. On their return to Liverpool, they play at the Cavern Club, followed by a return to Hamburg at the Top Ten Club, then back to the Cavern Club which is where Brian Epstein sees the Beatles for the first time, and the rest is history.
Like most songwriters, the Beatles were mainly inspired by the things around them. Occasionally, Lennon and McCartney both had to write "to order" to have enough songs for a particular project; A Hard Day's Night and Girl (both by Lennon) fall into this catagory. Lennon, in particular, could draw inspiration from many sources - a newspaper column inspired A Day in the Life, a TV commercial was behind Good Morning, Good Morning. McCartney seems to be more likely to be inspired by other songs; Here, There and Everywhere was his response to hearing God Only Knows by The Beach Boys.
By the time of the White album both Lennon and McCartney were taking inspiration in everything around them.
They liked a lot of 50's/60's bands. Many of their covers were of classic Chuck Berry, Little Richard and other early rock and roll songs.
That is actually a great question, cuz the Beatles had little musical training. They were all very gifted

The invention of electric instruments made making music much easier and played a large part in the evolution of music. but by far the biggest development in music came from The Beatles, they totally transformed music and gave it the back beat we still use today. It is a fact, that without The Beatles music would not sound at all like it does today. They influenced every genre of music, from jazz to metal. They are the biggest factor in music evolution by far
Japan had banned Beatles music. They did because Japan did not appreciate the fact that they had done drugs.
They influenced the music we have today.
