Ancient Egyptians primarily acquired slaves through wars with neighboring regions. It was custom in the Ancient Period that any enemy soldier captured in war (currently termed prisoners-of-war) would be enslaved following the surrender of the enemy country. Any wife or child of that society would also become enslavable.
There is little historical evidence for a mass Jewish enslavement in Egypt, but if it did occur, it would expand the methods of enslavement to "enslavement by decree" or "enslavement by race" as well.
