The Battles of Lexington and Concord marked the start of the Revolutionary War between the colonies and Great Britain. These battles did take place between the Second Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia.
They took place at Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy and Cambridge Massachusetts, but they are called simply "The Battles of Lexington and Concord". "Menotomy" is today called "Arlington".
They lost the battle of lexington, but they won in a moral way, because that proved that they could take on the british. The battle of concord, they were lucky, or skilled.
