First of all, it's "where" not "were".
If you are talking about loyalist and patriot kind of neutralists then let me tell you that neutralists living in regular homes. They just didn't take any sides. Loyalists are colonists who remained loyal to Great Britain (EXAMPLE: Thomas Hutchinson), patriots are colonists who wanted independence (EXAMPLE: Mercy Otis Warren) and neutralists were colonists who took neither sides. Hope this helped!! :D
Some where neutralists because they owned Taverns/shops. Also some where not sure which side would win, and if they chose the loosing side they could be sentenced death! -charlotte
Some colonists who were too far away to fight became neutralists.
The neutralist didnt wanna fight for independence
because it was what was right to make a separete country
well.... the neutralists were neutral, so the majority thought that whoever won, won. And whoever lost, lost. But there were probably people that secretly hoped that one side or the other would win.
40% of the colonists were neutralists.

The neutralists felt that they did not want to be invoved, therefore they did not really have a point of view.

Neutralists are people that are neither loyalists or patriots. Patriots are people who don't like the king and what he says. Loyalists are people who like the king and what he says.
patriots=hated the king, wanted freedom neutralists =didn't care loyalists= loyal to the king 0>0 sorry if that didn't help....
The neutralists believed in neutrality during the war. They did not believe in taking sides. Many of them were pacifists that did not believe in fighting at all like the Quakers.
