Bright's disease, which is not a modern term, was named after Richard Bright. See "related links."
Brights disease is what we know as kidney disease (acute or chronic nephrotitis). It is just simply an obsolete term.
The disease was named after him (Bright's disease) and is covered quite a few kidney disorders including nephritis - inflammation of the kidneys. As we became more sophisticated at diagnosing and understanding kidney diseases, the term Bright's disease fell into disuse.

Where does the term parky come from?
Bright's disease is described in modern medicine as chronic or acute nephritis. Such term is no longer used, because diseases are classified to their causes which are fully understood. The presence of serum albumine in the urine, and if it's accompanied by edema and hypertension indicates the disease. The English physician Richard Bright described the common symptoms for the first time in 1827. However, it is known now that such symptoms accompany various morbid kidney conditions. The term 'Bright's disease" is strictly retained for historical application.
Glomerulonephritis, also known as Bright's disease.
Bright's Disease affects the kidney, including the nephrons and glomeruli. However, Bright's Disease is but one of many which affect the glomeruli of the kidney.
The organs of the body which are affected by bright's disease are the kidneys.
She had Bright's disease and Mad Cow disease.
There are a number of med terms for Bright's but glomerulonephritis is the best one.
