Where do Muslims go to practice religion?

It depends on which worship you talk about. If you mean praying (or Salat); that is the second pillar of Islam five pillars; then you go either to Mosque (or masjid) or you can pray in any clean dry place (home, office, open air areas, ...). If you mean the hajj (or pilgrimage) worship then you go specific places in Makkah (or Mecca in Saudi Arabia) and some areas in its vicinity.

Muslims go to a mosque to pray, but going to a mosque is not a MUST for Muslims, as god (Allah) made a Muslims life as easy as possilbe he just required that Muslims must pray toward to the Holy Qabaa.

They can pray any where but only on one direction (The Kabaa) Muslims are divided into two Sona, Shia. Sona Believe that they can pray on anything. But Shia belief They should pray on anything that is called (From Nature : Everything that is Naturly not changed by human, ex. leaves, sand, rock (not crystals or any of that).
