The gauge, wiring or sending unit is bad.

in a haynes repair manual, the back section is about chassis electricalthis is where you will find it.or in a ford shop manual

Its normally the sender. Take the wire off the sender (on the tank) and earth it. Turn the ignition on. If the guage rises the sender needs replacement. If not then its more likely to be a wiring fault than the gauge itself

Bad gauge, bad sending unit, bad wiring.

There could be a few problems....wiring issue, the gauge in the dash has gone bad, or the sensor for the fuel float is bad, id check wiring and the gauge first because sending units are expensive and can be a pain to change

Get a wiring diagram either from a shop manual or by asking the dealership for a copy of that page from THEIR shop manual. Don't mess with that stuff since you could cause problems with the fuel gauge if you do it wrong.

Check the float by pining the wiring at the tank the gauge will go to full if not the wiring or gauge may be defective

Connect the wiring harness to the back of your oil pressure gauge. Secure the oil pressure gauge with the retaining screws.
