Soybean grows wild in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Russia.

It went through a long agricultural selection process in East Asia to become the soybean we know today.

Soybean is currently grown mostly in the United States (for the internal and export markets), Argentina and Brazil (for the European livestock feed market among others).

China comes only fourth for production, and actually imports some of its food grade soybean from the United States.

Soybeans are grown all over the world but the countries with the largest soybean productions are the US, Argentina, Brazil, China, and India.
