Where do the positive and negative wires from the battery attach to the starter on a 1992 F150 six cylinder?

The negative cable actually is bolted to the engine block, and the positive cable will go to the solenoid that is attached to the radiator support. On newer models, the solenoid would be attached to the starter, and then, of course, the positive cable would connect at the solenoid down below on the starter.

In a negative ground system, hook the vehicle ground (frame) to the negative of the first battery, positive of that battery to negative of second battery and the positive of the second battery back to vehicle positive. ( starter or starter solenoid) If you are hooking 2 12 volt batteries in series you will have 24 volts.
