In Greece, on Holy Τhursday, 3 days before Easter, Greeks dye the eggs red and they put them in bowls and special cases to decorate their house. After the Resurrection of Lord, each Greek takes an egg and clinks it with the others' eggs. It' s some kind of informal competition to see whose egg is the most resistant. As far as the presents, at Easter the people who have to give presents are the godfathers and the godmothers to the children that they christened.
