Turtles have their eggs in the sand, they dig a very deep hole (it is more long the wide) and lay their eggs in it (they dig the hole deep so it will keep the eggs warm) they then cover up the hole again and leave.

No. Sea turtles lay eggs and then leave. The eggs hatch about a month later, never meeting their parents.
Yes baby sea turtles live with their parents but they grow oder and oder their parents live them or they live their parents.

Turtles don't care for their young. They just lay their eggs in a hole in the sand near the beach and never even see their young.
Turtles can lay anywhere from 1 to 12 eggs depending on breed. Also it depends how many of the eggs suvive long enough to hatch.

People! We have damaged the environment which make the ocean even more of a dangerous place and people collect both eggs and turtles. Unhealthy conditions as well as a direct killing of these animals is leading to their extinction! Poor turtles!
Turtles lay eggs and therefore they 'hatch'. Turtles mate at sea and when the eggs are ready to be laid, the female comes ashore and digs a shallow nest in warm sand near the shore. She then returns to the water and never returns to the nest. After incubation the baby turtles hatch, scramble up out of the nest sand and make their way into the water.
