as you dont give any details, I'll assume theyre not available from dealer............
this means your only hope is a Parts Surplus Dealer or wrecking Yard for a whole wiper motor
There is an arm on the motor that runs to a transmission that connects both wipers. It is a plastic cup that snaps over a ball. Either end of that rod can pop off or the plastic breaks and it falls off. On most cars, the section of the hood that the wipers come through with the slots comes off so that you can get to this arm. If you look down through the slots you can probably see the arm laying on the bottom.
First: is it the wipers, wiper arms or motor that is at fault? Most times it is the ball joint piece that comes off, disabling the wipers, and the motor is still good. This reauires replacement of the wiper arm mechanism that has the "socket" on the end, a plastic part. If it is the motor, read on... The motor is located on the passenger side, mounted on the firewall. It "connects" to the arms that move the wipers via a ball joint. The wiper arm has a plastic part that has to be "popped" off the ball of the motor to be able to remove the motor. It simply snaps back on. You facillitate this by removeing the black plastic air vent screen that runs across the engine are near the window. After removing this you will see the arms that control wiper movement. It helps to "undo" the ball/socket if the motor is loose also. Install is just the reverse.
wiper motor arm has a small c-clip to remove and then same arm other end has a ball type that you pry off with a small cats paw type bar or screwdriver. this will remove the short wiper motor arm and then you can remove both wiper arms out thru slots in windshield frame. Be sure to remove plastic nuts on both wipers on front side of windshield frame.
The wipers are linked together by a bar that attaches to the wiper motor. They attach with a small ball joint assembly. if you remove the black vent intakes at the base of your windshield you will see the assembly. Should be a matter of just reattaching the connector.
The player that snaps the ball is known as the Center.
a guard
if you take off the windshield wipers by removing the nut that holds them on, you can then remove a bunch of Philips head screws from the plastic section under them. you may have to pop off a couple plastic covers on the left and right sides. you will also have to remove a rubber liner thingy (you'll see what I'm talking about if you try to take the plastic off). you can use pliers to squeeze the bottoms of them and just pull them up. after that just reach back where you see the arms and put the pieces back together. more than likely one of the ball and socket joints just came out. good luck!
yes it does
the wwiper motor is connected to the shafts by a plastic ball and socket joint, just reef it out to disconnect, wipers are bolted to the turny things and they have a nut that holds them to the chassis.
