You didn't specify a model year. 1995 and newer will certainly use R134a. 1993 and 1994 could go either way... if the schrader valves have threads on the outside, it's an R12 system; if they use a quick connect, it's an R134a system. Anything earlier will use R12 unless it's been retrofitted. Find your AC compressor. There are two refrigerant lines going to it -one is smaller than the other. Follow the larger line back, and you'll run into the valve. They're typically covered with a black plastic cap.
