My '96 has a dipstick. It's located near the firewall on the driver's side of

the engine. Look down and inboard from the brake master cylinder.

At some point, Pontiac, in their ultimate wisdom, decided to do away with the

tranxaxle dipstick. Your car may or may not have one.
