There isn't a drain plug , you have to drop the transmission pan
An automatic transmission on Ford Ranger holds three quarts of transmission fluid. That is after you drain all the old transmission fluid out.
Remove the Ford Ranger automatic transmission drain plug. The drain plug is in the bottom of the transmission. Allow the oil to drain out and replace the plug. Fill the transmission with new transmission fluid.
Unfortunately , most automatic transmissions don't have a drain plug in the transmission pan , so the pan has to be dropped with transmission fluid in the pan . Can be quite messy !
