The Starter motor on a fuel injection Hyundai Pony/Excel is located below the inlet manifold coming from the injection system. It is difficult to access and the only way to get there is by removing the actual inlet manifold.

It can be found at the back of the engine about half way down the block, you will need to jack the car up to get to it, if you need to change it out. hope this helps.

Hyundai recommends SAE 10w40. On a car this old I recommend you use a High Mileage oil.
under the manifold, left side of the motor. 2 bolts is all you need to undo it. You may have to take some hoses off to get to it
