The starter should be on the back of the transmission/engine, toward the firewall. Follow the positive starter cable down to the engine/transmission area and you will find it there.
I would start by calling your local Nissan Dealership. They might still stock parts for a '98 Sentra. Or you could try E-bay, your local car impound or junk yard. I use to have a '89 camero and was able to find many repacement parts for it at my local junk yard, and they sell them cheap. Hope this helps !
Its underneath the car on the passenger side just above and to the left of your oil filter.
If your trying to remove it you"ll need to remove your oil filter and engine brace for clearance. Once you've done that you should be able to see the bottom bolt and be able to remove it. I used a socket wrench with a six inch extender, which is a must for this job. Now would be a good time to disconnect the sensor that runs to the solenoid and remove the positive (red wire) terminal from the solenoid. The second bolt will have to be removed from the top of the engine. I took out the battery and followed the negative terminal from the battery to find the second top bolt.
It sounds like a hard job, but it really wasnt that bad and I saved 200.00 dollars by doing it myself.
I found mine on the back of the engine about mid way up. it was a pain to find, and i got a buddy to replace mine for me.
Your Nissan dealership can get one for you!
its behind the motor on the left side where the transmission attaches to it. the best way to find it is look at where your rad is and its behind the rad you can't miss it.
I can not find where is located the position of sensor crank of 1999 nissan sentra 2.0 ( in what point is located in the motor)
To find the ignition key code for a 1994 Nissan Sentra SE, check the owner's manual. You can also contact the manufacturer to obtain the code.

I've been looking for a 1998 Nissan Sentra GXE Alternator Harness and it seems that they apply fairly universally, meaning the harnesses they sell on this link will most likely apply to your model. The link is: http://www.thepartsbin.com/catalog/?N=4294955288&Nr=OR(AND(make:Nissan,model:Sentra,year:1998),AND(universal:1))&Vi=1684+11370+4294963745&y=1998&mk=Nissan&md=Sentra Those are just "Alternator Harnesses". If you find you need more wires than that, you can get the whole mess of wires it's connected to called the "Sentra HARNESS ASSY-ALTERNATOR" from this link, part 24020: http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/1998-nissan-sentra_wiring-240-881.html Good luck, don't forget to check your VIN just to be safe on the second link. I just need to find out how to replace ONLY the Alternator Harness on my '98 now :P
You will need a general screwdriver, a spark plug socket, a socket wrench and and extender, a wire brush and a silicone dielectric compound. You should find more of these tools at SEARS or your favorite car parts dealer. You will need a spark plug wrench with an extension to replace the spark plugs in a 1998 Nissan Sentra. You can find an instructional video at www.youtube.com.

I have a 94 Nissan sentra but it's the same body style. My starter is located right below all the air intake hoses. the easiest way to find the starter is to take the airbox stuff out and then follow the ground wire from the negative end of the battery (the only wire leading off the negative end) to where it attatches to the transmission. The bolt that that wire attatches to is one of two bolts that attatches the starter to the transmission.
at most auto parts stores
which wiring schematics do you need?
