1937 vehicles did not have a VIN per se. There is however a build/data plate. It can be located in many different locations. On the frame, firewall, door post, glove box, in the trunk, radiator support, etc. Keep looking an you will find the data plate.

It is on the main frame rail underneath the vehicle. It has been awhile since I looked for one, I am trying to remember, but I believe it is on the outside of the rail about 1/4 of the way back from the front.
