Depends on what Operating System your talking about. Microsoft has all there boot disks (you will only find Win XP standalone through SP2 for Pro and Home edition as support for Win 9x up to Win XP has been discontinued and they will not make available boot disks for systems beyond XP SP2). Just search microsfts website for 'Boot Disk' and you will find it. For most if not all Operating Systems, the developer will almost always have support options on their website.
A Disk Boot Fail means that the disk you normally start your computer from is not working. The computer can be started from the System Disk but that system disk will wear out so you will have no boot disk and no way of repairing the boot disk. Time to look for a new boot disk or better a brand new computer
