One thing you could do is just surf one bookstore site, and look up each author to see if there is a planned release. I do it on Amazon.com, but I'm sure most online bookstores like Borders and Barnes and Noble and others have the same feature. Usually, they will have a feature where you can sign up to be notified by email if anything else comes out by a certain author, or in a certain category. ... That might save you some quality Surfing time. :)
Many publishers, such as Random House, have a notification system for their authors. At the Random House site, you select the author and enter your e-mail address. They will send you any new updates on the authors you select to your e-mail box.
Book companies such as Chapters or Coles can provide details to book release dates. Authors will advertise their book releases on websites and libraries also advertise when books will be available.
