Vampires do not have venom, we don't even have an anti-coagulant to help us in our blood-letting. All we have the contagion that enables us to propagate and that's not even very good, only works after repeated application on significantly weakened victims, and even then the results are questionable. Its not easy being a vampire y'know: no inherent perks beyond immortality, photosensitivity, persecution galore, and no support community or minority status even.......

You may meet a vampire in fictional stories, movies, or folklore. In various cultures, vampires are often depicted as undead beings that feed on the blood of the living, lurking in darkness or haunting graveyards. However, in reality, vampires are not real creatures.

In Lilacia Park in Lombard, IL. I grew up there and there was a gang that called themselves vampires. They drank eachothers blood. Probably the closest thing that you'll find to a real one.

Vampires retain the names they had when they were alive, so the source of vampire names are really the same as those for ordinary people. You could have a vampire named John Smith then.
