Ancient Egyptians believed that there was a vein that ran directly from the your fourth finger on your left hand all the way to the heart. This came to be known as the "love vein." Ever since then, it has been tradition to wear your engagement ring on your "ring finger" (the fourth finger on your left hand).
When you eventually get married, your wedding ring goes on the same finger, but goes on first and then is topped off by the engagement ring.
Woman wear their wedding rings on their left hand ring finger and so do men in most of the Western World. Although in Europe they are known to use the right hand finger next to the pinky finger. The reason escapes me.
Mostly for America at least I can say on the finger that is between the pinky and the middle finger of your left hand. I say put it in both your hearts. Sure that materialistic item is perfect for letting everyone else know off limits he/she is taken but, for yourselves you need not to have a reminder of such a devote commitment.

I don't think that there is a rule against it, but it is not common. Wearing a wedding ring generally means you are married, so it would be misleading to wear it if you have not yet had the ceremony. As for the engagement ring, many woman will only wear it until they are actually married, at which time they change to the wedding ring. But some women like their engagement ring so much that they wear both the wedding ring and the engagement ring together even after they are married.
Whether the woman purposes to the man or he proposes to her it is the man that gets the engagement ring and not the woman. If he accepts your offer then you can buy a wedding band for him once a date is set for the wedding.
There are most of the time two reasons. Either they do not want to loose the wedding ring or They do not want wear to much jewelry to appear flashy.
When divorced the woman can either keep her engagement ring and wedding ring on the same finger or switch them to the right hand or not wear them at all. Most men who have wedding bands just don't wear them.
A man can wear his wedding ring on his right hand before marriage. However, when a man or a woman wears a wedding ring on the right hand it frequently means that person is a widower or a widow. Wearing a ring that way could send the wrong message.
In the US it is customary to wear a wedding ring on the Left Hand.
More men than women actually dont wear wedding rings on the left ring finger. In a lot of older traditions, the man didnt have to wear a ring, it was mostly for the women.
She has taken the ring off or lost it. Answer I wear one but it was my grandmother's ring. I take it off all the time and many times do not wear it.
To show the love and fidelity that you have for your husband/wife.
No. In some European countries, they wear the wedding ring on the right hand, third finger.
If the woman is still with the husband she cheated on then it is entirely up to him as to whether she deserves new wedding rings or not. If you are remarrying then you wouldn't want to wear your old wedding rings and would get a new engagement ring and wedding ring when you marry.
