The service engine soon on a Ford E250 can be reset by connecting an OBDII code reader to the vehicle. It allows codes to be read and reset.
The code reader test connector, on your Ford E2 50, is located beneath the dashboard on the drivers side. The connector is on the left side of the steering column.

You have to tested with OBD.II then you get the code number it tell you then you change it then you do rest the code.
when it flashes it is setting the code
use an OBD-I code reader.

You need a OBD2 scanner/code reader to get stored codes and to erase them
I've tried an OBD 11 code reader and while it seems to plug in correcting it still coannot communicate with scanner
i would use a code reader for this.
