On top of the trans underneath the intake manifold.
Need to remove a quart of trans. fluid to add a quart of lucas trans conditioner. Does not have a drain plug.
No - the 3rd generation Eclipse was only available with a 5MT.
The a833 4 speed trans. Holds 9 pints, lucas 80 90 gear oil is a good choice
The exact same place you check the fluid level.
That model of Eclipse came with a 4 speed automatic or a 5 speed manual transmission.
There are no user serviceable parts on the transaxle of 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse without removal. Essentially, it is all one unit.
no. just open the bottle and see the continents verses what your trans fluid looks like
Mine gets 23 - 25 mpg (2.4L 4 cyl with auto trans)
Mine gets 23 - 25 mpg (2.4L 4 cyl auto trans)
I believe in general, every 30,000 miles is the recommended.
Sounds like the clutch disc is destroyed.
They might work considering that the 90-93 Eagle Talon, 90-93 Eclipse, and the 90-93 Lazer are made so much alike...My friend has a book and everything that we looked at in the book was for the Talon, Eclipse, and Lazer so if I'm right, it should work.
I will let you know after I have ran mine for a while I just put in a mix of castrol synthetic 5w50 and lucas transmission treatment in a k44 tuff-tork transmission (supposedly a sealed system, but it is really not sealed) on a john deere L120.
Sounds like over heated starter or bad electrical connection.
The prefix trans means beyond. This even true for trans fat.
there wont be a tranny dipstick on any vehicle with a manual trans. due to the fact there is gear oil not trany fluid in the trans. but to check the l;evel or to change the gear oil there will be either on the bottom or side of the trans itself 2 plugs. one being a drain plug and the other being a fill/check plug.
check trans fluid first if low add proper amount remember to check hot as trans fluid expands with heat. if trans fluid is full you probably have the front pump going out or excesssive wear on clutch plates in either case it will probably take an overhaul to repair. I have had good luck prolonging this with lucas trans fluid additive good luck
i just had the same problem with my o2 i did a trans flush new filters and some lucas treatment som far works great
My 93 runs at aprox 2500 on level ground with stock tire size, and a 5 speed trans.
It will not because the 93 model is a 1st generation and the 95 models is a 2nd generation.so there fore parts are likely to be different and sizes too
trans fat = Tabang trans
4t65e automatic. with every fluid change use 2 bottle of lucas trans fix it will make it shift better and last longer. good stuff
The prefix "trans-" means which in English
the automatic trans fluid in all Mitsubishi's with the exception of the Chrysler eclipse is diamond atf sp 3.
