you can order them online or you can go to a dealership and order them.
I DONT GIVE A SHIpT
The reason why it is vibrating is cause of the Engine Mounts. You have to get the Engine Mounting changed ! cheers.
plate in floor next to footrest (RHD) - ALLEN KEY -TOP BOLT - BOTTOM BOLT FROM UNDER THE CAR
the spacer lowers the front axle to alow to install the large m100 6.3 engine.
Under the car you open a plate that covers the oil sump it has to bolts on each end ,then on the sump you will find a bolt in the middle of the sump unscrew it then you are home .
I had a W126 Benz (1981 280SE) on which the heater would not turn off on one side of the car (it has separate heaters for each side). The problem turned out to be a broken solenoid valve in the heater water supply. The way the heater works is: With the ignition off the heater valve springs open. When the ignition is turned on the heater valve automatically closes. When you then turn on the heater controls the valve opens again. I think the idea is that the heater valve gets "cycled" every time the car is used so that it doesn't get sticky. The electric solenoid that does the closing is easy to find by following the water pipes and will probably be on the firewall somewhere. They are supposed to be a throwaway part but I got mine open and soldered up the broken wire and all was good.
This is from Larry Bible, ASE Certified Master Mechanic, on the www.mercedesshop.com/shopforum/ website (go to "Diesel Discussion" under "General Discussion"): "There are a few non turbo, Euro 300D's in the US with a manual, but the turbo's are rare. If you want a stick, you would have a much simpler, easier to work on, and reliable car by finding a manual 240D. The 300D's are loaded with unnecessary gadgetry. Most people are capable of cranking up their own windows, pulling closed their sunroof and turning up the temperature when they get too cold. All the 300D gadgetry is just something EXPENSIVE to break. Conversion can be done, but it is not bolt up. The shifter rods will need modification and a driveshaft will probably have to be fabricated. If you do this, be sure to use the adapter plate that goes with the manual transmission and ensure that you take care of the pilot bearing issue." I did this with a dead 240D as the donar car and found that a 280SE stick was able to donate the right length driveline. It was done with engine in place, the fun is getting the upper bell housing bolts outs with a looong extension. my email is laddmag@earthlink.net if I can help.
Hi is the problem like mine on 74 450 sel ? heater fan refuses to switch off? if so the problem possibly lies in the fan speed resistor located behind the passenger side bulkhead just below the right hand side of the air intake to get to this the passenger side footwell upholstery needs to be removed as does the glove compartment cardboard liner this gives access to the heater motor which has to be removed as the resistor is hard wired to the motor, once motor is removed the two screws holding the resistor to the bulkhead need to be removed allowing motor and housing, cable and resistor to be removed as one unit,
