Dielectric grease would be a better choice.
No you do not need to use bulb grease but for 89 cents at your local auto shop its good to use it just like battery terminal grease its good to use projects your connection from corrosion
Try changing out new bulbs. If that does not work it might be the connection where the bulb inserts is rusted or moisture has entered in the connections. If that is the case try some bulb grease availabel at any auto parts store. Put grease around the bulb and insert to the connection. Hope this helps.
No, that would not be proper. The contact point of a light bulb socket has no need of any coating. A light bulb socket that is difficult to turn a bulb in will benefit from some light oil on the bulb threads prior to installing. Dielectric grease will harden, and is meant to insulate and protect electrical junctions from exposure and vibration.
open the hood locate the headlight bulbs turn them counter clockwise, pull it out unplug the connection. for better connection use some dielectric grease to put inside the plugin part of the bulb and the connector plug the bulb back into the connector making sure not to touch the bulb or it will blow touch only the plastic on the bulb and put it back in and turn it clockwise. hope that helps
Why would you put grease on it? Its a bad idea because it doesnt let the piercing breathe at all. So don't put any grease on it.
No, that would be very dangerous.
a grease fitting is something that u put a grease gun into and pump grease into it to lubricate ball joints, steering knuckles ect...
The process is in the owner's manual, but here's the quick version: Under the hood there is a power cord going into the back of the headlight, wiggle that out. Then the rubber ring around the outlet comes off, pull the tabs at the top and bottom till it comes off. Inside there is a little wire rod that holds the bulb in place, press on it and then press up and it will swing open. The bulb can be removed then. DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB WITH BARE SKIN AS IT CAN SHORT IT OUT. Put bulb grease on the prongs of the new headlight bulb and put it back in, put the wire in place, replace the rubber ring, and plug it back in!
Remove the rubber protection, remove the electric connector, loosen the clip holding the bulb by pressing it and moving out of holding groove. Installation is reversal. Do not forget to put some of dielectric grease. Also never touch new bulbs.
Be careful not to handle the bulb with your bare hands. The grease from your fingers will effect the life span of the bulb.
you put your horse in the EQs box.you dont always find a tub of grease-but keep looking!
