On the left side of the engine (right side if your in front of the car looking at the engine bay) you'll see a white-ish round plastic fluid container with a red cap, and two hoses connected to it. You'll also see level markers molded into the Power Steering fluid container showing the max and min power steering fluid levels. The steering fluid can be seen through the simi transparent plastic, indicating the current amount of fluid in the res container.
If you don't have dry rot in your power steering lines, it does.
it's ok
Honda have there own power streering fluid. Just go into any part store and ask if it does not say Honda don't use it
Noise may be heard in a power steering line when the power steering fluid is low. Low power steering fluid may occur due to a leaking power steering pump in most cases. If the pump is not leaking, then the fluid needs to be added.
No, only use the correct fluid as recommended by Honda and nothing else.
It depends on whether you are measuring in liters or pints.
There is a grey reservoir at the front left of the engine with a red cap
No
in the plastic reservoir under the hood on the driver's side towards the front.
Check your power steering fluid. Its probably low. Make sure belt is tight and also check that power steering reservoir is full of fluid.
Use only genuine Honda P/S fluid and nothing else. You can find it at most auto parts stores and of course you Honda dealer.
Red is the "normal" power steering fluid. If you can't get "power steering fluid," Dexron automatic transmission fluid is the same stuff. Clear is Honda power steering fluid.
