First of all, you must be a registered member to be eligible to receive Trust Points.
On your profile, your Trust Points are listed to the right under Stats: Your contributions are shown and under that are the number of Trust Points you have accumulated.
In addition, your Trust Points kind of "follow" you around the site. In many places on the site, there is a number in parentheses next to your name - that number signifies the current total of your points.
As an example the trust points displayed with this question are below the answer at the bottom of the answer box toward the middle where it displays [contributor trust].
Places where you can see the number of Trust Points:
There is no maximum amount of trust points one can have on WikiAnswers. At present, the highest amount so far is well over 8,000.(For a list of users with the most trust points, see the Related question)
If you mean your contributions or trust points, in the blue sidebar on the left, click "My profile," and to the right you will see your "stats."
Anyone can edit answers on WikiAnswers. One way to check how legit a question is is by the number of trust points a person has. Below, you will see the contributors name and how many trust points they have.
Trust points do not entirely help you get hired to work for WikiAnswers, since actually getting paid to work for WikiAnswers is different from the amount of trust points you received online.
You can get trust points on WikiAnswers by making many helpful edits and doing your best to make WikiAnswers a great Q&A site. When people see an answer you posted on a question, they have the option to "Recommend" you. When they do this, you receive a trust point. To earn trust point you have to answer questions. If the asker thinks your answer is good they will give you a trust point. Not all askers give trust points though. Good luck and keep answering!
It would be impossible to say. (See the Related question for a list of contributors who have achieved a minimum of 2,000 trust points.)
Your total WikiAnswers contribution points are calculated as the sum of all of the contribution points you have earned. These include first answers, edits, organizational actions, questions asked, and community contributions. All of these points come under the heading of "Contributions" in your WikiAnswers profile. Trust points are slightly different. Contributors do not directly earn these points through their contributions; they are awarded trust points by other WikiAnswers users. Therefore, trust points are not counted as contributions, and do not add to the contribution points total in a WikiAnswers profile.
There is no limit as to how many trust points a person can earn on WikiAnswers. Currently, the highest number of trust points held by a person on this site is well over 8,000.
As of now, there is no way to see who gave you the trust points. So, unless the person who gave you the trust point left a message to this effect on your message board, there is no way of knowing.
The Trust Point system allows contributors to vote for a WikiAnswers member whose contributions you think are worthwhile and legitimate, and clean. Please see the related links for more information on trust points.
