- For a first date it is important that you meet the girl's parents and get their permission to even go out on a first date. The parents may feel their daughter is too young to go out on a first date or, they may well want to drive you to wherever you are going and pick you up later. Going to the movies is a good place to go and if you have permission to go out on that first date then the two of you should choose a movie you both like. If you have time after the movie you could go to Starbucks or some other cafe to have something to eat or drink.
