Where does a 1988 Lincoln Town Car get the energy for the fuel pump after the fuel pump solenoid on the right front fender automatically opens again after first turning on the key?

That's exactly how it works. When you move the key to the 'on' position, the fender mounted switch fires up the fuel pump.
