crank position sensor is between oil filter and starter, follow wire from module
This is a dual-field alternator, they both are field connections.
Located on the back side of the front license plate holder. Pencil shaped with a long black wire.
On a dodge alternator the two small wires go to the voltage regulator . It doesn't matter which wire goes where, but the red or blue wire needs 12 volts when the key is on. The green wire goes directly to the regulator from the alternator. The large wire goes to the battery and it is important that you don't undersize this wire. The other wire is a ground wire and can be grounded to the block or not used as the case is grounded by the bolts that hold it on.
could be a bad battery wire

run it and then disconnect the negative wire from the battery if alternator dies its bad.
If you have a new alternator its as simple as run the one wire to the solenoid. If you are converting the alternator to a one wire, you will need an external regulator. it's a red wire that's connected to your alternator that about half way down turns blue and connects into the starter solinod
a bad ground wire can ruin an alternator by not completing the circuit
2 wire has a live wire to energise the field where as the single wire alternator self energises and does not need the powered feed.
This wire allows the alternator to keep the battery charged.
